New floors!

Carpet is disgusting! We went to Lowes yesterday and purchased all of our new flooring, 68 boxes worth! The grand total was $3000 but we had a 10% off coupon which saved us $300 to start and then with all of the gift cards we got from the wedding (THANK YOU!!!) we ended up only paying $1000 out of our pocket. Not a bad deal! The flooring has to acclimate in the boxes for about 48 hours before we can put it down so in the meantime I have been getting things ready. We're starting upstairs since thats the area of the house used least, and it will give us plenty of practice before we move downstairs to the larger areas. So this morning I moved everything out of the guest bedroom and started ripping up the carpet. Gross, there is so much dirt under carpet, stuff your vacuum will never get out. I'm hoping to start putting the new floors down on Monday after work so we'll see how it goes. Michael and I both have the same days off this week so we're hoping to get a lot done. I'll take lots of pictures and post them...eventually. :)
