Happy Fathers Day to Michael, his very first one! It is still a little crazy to see Michael with Avery, sometimes it's hard to believe she's here. I think the love for your spouse completely changes after having a baby, and for the better. Michael is a really good dad, he was a little nervouse at first with her. Every time she would make even the slightest peep he would start getting anxious and say "I think she's hungry, you should feed her." This was cute the first couple of times but I finally had to tell him that she's not always crying just because she's hungry. He's much better now handling the crying and fussiness. We recently started giving her a bottle of pumped milk in the evenings so that Michael can feed her and so that she'll be used to taking a bottle when I go back to work. Michael really likes feeding her and is so cute with her, especially when he is 'playing' with her, which consists of making her dance or walk and then telling me to write in her baby book that she took her first step at a month old. And while I would like her to stay small, he can't wait until she's big enough to really play with her. I think they are going to be great buddies. The other day the UPS man left something at the door, I went to bring it in and noticed it was a new swing for Avery, a really nice swing. I asked Michael about it and he said he thought she'd really like it so he used his 'spending money' to buy it for her. And so the spoiling begins, once she learns how effective her little lip pout is with her dad it will be game over. :) Happy Fathers Day Michael, I love you so much and am so glad that Avery is ours. I hope you have a fabulous first Fathers Day!
